Omar Marmoush gives thumbs up to Man City transfer but Frankfurt refusing to budge on price stag for star man

OMAR MARMOUSH has given the thumbs up to a move to Manchester City.

But Eintracht Frankfurt will play hard ball over their Egyptian forward.

Omar Marmoush's 2024-25 Eintracht Frankfurt season statistics.

The 25-year-old has agreed in principle to join the English champions, according to reports in Germany.

However his club – who are flying high at home and in the Europa League – want around £67million if they are to part with their prized asset mid season.

And that means the two clubs are far apart in their valuations, with City viewing him more in the £50m bracket.

The Etihad giants always knew it would be a challenge to get Frankfurt to agree to sell when they are going so well.

But he is the man Pep Guardiola wants to breathe new life into a season which nosedived in the final two months of 2024 – so they are determined to get their man.

Marmoush would provide support for striker Erling Haaland.

But he can play anywhere along the front-line and also operates as a Number 10.

He would effectively fill the gap left by World Cup winner Julian Alvarez.

He left the Etihad to join Atletico Madrid for £81m back in August.

Meanwhile, City are in talks with Lens over Uzbeki defender Abdukodir Khusanov too.

They are also close to sealing a deal for Brazilian teen Vitor Reis – who currently plays for Palmeiras.

If they can do all three deals it would see them splash out well over £100m this month.

And they are still on the look-out for a defensive midfielder to cover for the injured Rodri.

Longchamp canvas bags range from £80 to £120[/caption]

The bag in question is a Mini Canvas Shopper with a tan faux leather handle and a cross-body strap, that comes in beige or black.

Primark bosses describe the bargain buy as a “must-have accessory” that is “cute yet practical” .

They add: “The faux leather handles effortlessly elevate the design, adding a luxe look and feel.

“This bag is completed with a classic zip closure for a practical finishing touch. Use it to compliment all your outfits.”

There is also a larger version up for grabs, priced at £10, that comes in red as well as the two staple colours.

And savvy shoppers may notice that the bags are the perfect dupe for Longchamp’s Le Pliage Original canvas bags.

The difference between the two? A cool £72 for the mini version, and £110 for the larger tote.

So if you’re on a tight budget then you may want to head down to your nearest Primark.

Sharing a short clip of the stylish accessories, staff at the retail giant’s Lincoln store said: “One of our current favourites. Our new bags come in 2 different sizes.”

Shoppers seem to be just as impressed by the new bags too, as one gushed: “Omggg the little Longchamp dupes are so cutee.”

A second chimed in: “Obsessed with this & only £8.”

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “I neeeeeed this.”

The bag isn’t the only dupe shoppers are loving in store at the moment.

Fashion fans are going wild for Primark’s new wrap-around legging sets in beige and chocolate brown which come with a matching vest.

The Seamless Gym Vest Top in chocolate brown cost just £7 and the Seamless V-Waist Leggings in the same shade were £11.

The set is almost identical to Lululemon’s viral wrap leggings but costs a fraction of the price.

While the designer version costs £88 for a pair of gym pants, Primark is just £11 saving you £77 in total.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
