Married At First Sight star makes unexpected cameo on hit Channel 5 show and begs for help with nightmare pet

ONE of the stars of Married At First Sight made an unexpected cameo on a hit Channel 5 show.

The former Channel 4 reality personality made a return to TV screens on a new programme this week.

Paul Liba shot to fame when he competed in the eighth series of Married At First Sight UK.

He was paired with childcare assistant Tasha Jay, 27, from Leeds in the popular social experiment.

On the show the duo had their troubles, but they lasted the course and decided to give their marriage a go after the show.

Sadly, they both decided to end their romance a year after the reality series concluded.

However, it seems the 28-year-old star has made a huge comeback to television screens on a new show.

He appeared on the Channel 5 show, Dogs Behaving Very Badly, with his nightmare canine companion.

After his first reality stint, he moved to the UK countryside and got a pet to help him enjoy the scenery.

However, his two-year-old Bantam bulldog named Jasmine chases “everything” when he takes her for a walk.

This includes jumping through bushes to chase geese at the local park, as seen on the factual programme.

According to the programme, the star is becoming “famous for all the wrong reasons” as he begged for help training his dog.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

“It is definitely embarrassing when I walk Jasmine and she’s run up to another dog and they’re like ‘oh, you’re from Married At First Sight.

“I have a dog that can’t be controlled and everyone knows who I am.”

He added that his ex-partner from the show isn’t a big fan of the pup in question.

Paul added: “Tasha thinks Jasmine is quite spoilt.”

But she also admitted she’d turned down All Stars after meeting her handsome new chap in June of last year.

Paige and her Love Island ex Finn Tapp split in 2023, after winning the first winter series in South Africa.

They’ve both now moved on with their respective partners, and Paige looked happier than ever as she showed off her new man.

Talking about how they met, the  27-year-old told The Sun: “We knew of each other already and we’re from the same area so had known of each other for a couple of years.

“But then I was in Ibiza in June with some friends and so was he, and we got together as all our friends knew each other.”

Paige had previously hinted that she’d met someone new in September of last year.

She shared photos with a mystery man in a plunging dress at the time, but he’s now been confirmed as her new boyfriend.

In the post, she shared a series of ten pics and captioned it: “Some moments recently with my fave people!!”

The photos included a mirror selfie in a gorgeous, black plunging dress, some group shots with her friends and family and glam pics from nights out.

But the eighth picture in was a photo of Paige with the ‘mystery man’ – who was the only person not tagged in the album.

In November, Paige jetted off to Las Vegas with her new boyfriend and shared a video at the F1.

She told fans: “This trip was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Gonna be hearing the roar of the engines in my sleep.”

At the Geordie Shore launch the new couple were all smiles as they enjoyed drinks together and posed in the photobooth.

Paige shared her excitement for the new Love Island All Stars series, while saying all her fans had asked if she’d be heading on.

The star revealed that her new man is good reason not to jet off to South Africa, and instead to stay firmly at home.
